Bella's Blog- Adventures with My Catmom
Monday, November 23, 2015
It's been a long time since I wrote in this diary, and guess what- I'm all grown up! I turned two years old this year, and I think I'm a gorgeous kitty- Aunt Debbie wants to take pictures of me all the time, so I guess I must be pretty spectacular. She bought me a cat pole that's taller than Mom- now I can smack her in the head quite easily when she tries to play with my toes too much...
I live in an apartment- that's another name for a noisy building where people are always coming and going and being loud- sometimes it really scares me, so I run and hide under the bed. I don't much like men- too big and always yelling about something, except for Leon- I like him. He smells good so I rub all over him to make him smell even better- and he wears shoes with laces- I love laces! Mom always wears those dumb "Berkies"- no laces. She's a real slob, she even wears socks with her sandals!
I have discovered that humans are not very smart. Every morning Mom picks out some food for me, and I pretend not to like it- I run away and yowl, and punch my paper bag. She says bad words about how much food I'm wasting, and I wait until she's sitting down in her chair and sneak back into the kitchen and scarf big bites of stinky goodness- and she never catches on! Sometimes she even opens another can for me because she feels bad that I don't like her choice!
My most favorite game is to ambush Mom in the dark when she gets out of bed to go potty- I jump up and grab her around the thigh, and it makes her scream every time- humans are so predictable! Well, I'm gonna go take another nap, since it's not time to nag Mom to bed yet. She would stay up all night if I let her!

Pens! Must Have Pens!
I have discovered things called "pens". I don't know what they do, but my CatMom keeps them on every table. Every night when she goes to bed, or when she leaves to go somewhere, I get up on the tables and get as many of the pens as I can- then I hide them. This seems to make CatMom say not-nice words, which is sort of fun! Yesterday I hid two of them under the furniture, and one behind the litter box room door. I even got one apart- another little stick thing came out of it! I licked the end of it, but it didn't taste very good. But they do roll on the floor perfectly...
Last week Auntie Debbie and CatMom took me to another one of those scary places where they stick you with pointy sharp things, and poke at you with their fingers. I was really scared, but they took me home again right away. I jumped up on CatMom's lap and farted, just to teach her a lesson...
Auntie Debbie kept pointing a funny little machine at me while I was playing- I think it's called a camera. CatMom said she was going to put "pictures" of me on this blog. Next time I will only show her my butt.
I have a new toy called a paper bag- you can bite it, jump on it, hide in it, and make a lot of noise during CatMom's favorite TV shows. And if you put "catnip" in it, I can snoot it up my nose, and it will make me all crazy and want to zoom around the house biting CatMom on the toes- such fun!
CatMom went away for three whole days, and some big strange man came to feed me- I was scared, and didn't want to come out, but finally CatMom came home, although she didn't look so good- I was so happy to see her I ran around the house screaming as loud as I could! I hope she never goes away like that again!

Ta-Dah! It's Bella!
Let me introduce myself: I'm a girl Asian Tabby, about 15 weeks (going on three months) of age, and I had the immense luck of being adopted from the folks at the FirGrove Veterinary Hospital by my new CatMom, Janne. I came to the folks at FirGrove, in Puyallup, with a broken leg, but I'm happy to say that it's all fixed and working fine- I use it every day to jump on things I shouldn't be jumping on.
Mom, and her best friend, Aunt Debbie, fell in love with me when the nice folks brought me out to see them at the Hospital. Mom had been looking for a new kitty after her best cat buddy went to the Rainbow Bridge (What Mom calls the Summerlands- it's a special place.). His name was Boo, and she loved him very much for 13 years, so she is not the sort of owner who will throw you away after a bit of time- I am a forever kitty!
I'm dictating this blog to Mom so she can tell you about my adventures- not a day goes by that something exciting doesn't happen, and Mom knows lots of fun kitty games, so I don't get bored very often. But if I do get bored, I like to do my "Alien Face Hugger" leap right onto her face- it really wakes her up, but she makes this weirdo screaming sound when I do it- makes my tail puff right up!
I'm hoping Mom will take lots of pictures of me to put on this blog, even though that camera thing still scares me a little. She says we have to wait for more pictures until something called "film" arrives from a place called "Amazon"- whatever that is. But it's the same place my Litter Genie refills come from, and those keep my poopies from smelling, so I guess it's a good thing! Good night for now- Love, Bella
